At Miranda's thirty-something
birthday party Carrie, Samantha and Miranda decide to start having sex like men, without
feeling, but Charlotte doesn't buy into it. Carrie steps up to the plate first and has sex
with an ex-boyfriend but to her surprise he's fine with being used as a sex object. As she
leaves she bumps into Mr. Big who she'll later see again at Chaos. Miranda is set up with Carrie's friend Skipper and she hates him but he really likes her. Charlotte thinks she's found a great guy in Capote Duncan until she tells him she has to be up early in the morning and he asks her to split a cab so he can go to Chaos and get laid. Samantha hits on Mr. Big relentlessly at Chaos and he shoots her down every time so she ends up hooking up with Charlotte's date for the evening, Capote Duncan. Carrie is left alone and can't catch a cab and is about to walk home when Mr. Big's car pulls up and he gives her a ride. |

Miranda goes out with a guy and
is told after dinner by two of his female friends that he's a modelizer, a man who only
dates models. She tells Carrie and Carrie decides to write her next column on modelizers. She goes to see Barkley, another modelizer, and he tells her the secrets of dating models and then he shows her his collection of pornographic videos featuring himself and his many model conquests. She later goes to a fashion show with Samantha and Stanford and Stanford introduces her to a model client of his named Derrick. Barkley shows up and Carrie tells Samantha that he's a modelizer and that he videotapes his conquests but she doesn't care and she ends up in his video collection. Carrie bumps into Mr. Big again at the after-show party but ends up going home with Derrick. Stanford is jealous because he thinks she slept with him but when she tells him differently he says he knew he was gay. Skipper runs into Miranda at the store and asks her why she hasn't returned any of his calls. She comes up with an excuse and he tells her that he thinks she's luminous and they end up going back to her place. |

Carrie is secretly set up by
married friends and she decides to try him on to see if he fits when she discovers that
he's looking to get married. He buys a new place and he invites her to the house warming
party and tells her to bring her friends. She brings Charlotte and Samantha so they can
meet men but when they get there they discover that all the guests are married couples. Samantha gets extremely drunk and Charlotte lets her stay over at her place. In the middle of the night while Charlotte is asleep Samantha, still drunk, goes downstairs and gets the doorman to come upstairs and have sex. Miranda, believing that she's a lesbian, is set up with another woman. She decides to let her co-workers believe it hoping that it'll help her get further in her career but then she decides that she can't keep up the charade and comes clean. Carrie decides that her marrying man doesn't fit so she dumps him on Charlotte but he doesn't fit Charlotte either |

Carrie and Samantha start
dating guys in their twenties. Carrie dates Sam and at first all they do is kiss but it
soon escalates to sex and Carrie breaks it off when she wakes up and sees his messy
apartment and realizes that she's too old to date a guy in his twenties. Samantha dates Jon and she can't believe how good the sex is but she too breaks it off with him after he makes a comment about the wrinkles in her neck. Charlotte doesn't know what to do when her current boyfriend wants to have anal sex with her. She talks to Carrie, Samantha and Miranda and finally decides not to do it because she doesn't want to be known as the up the butt girl. |

artist, visits Charlotte's gallery and invites her out to his Connecticut home. Carrie is introduced to a handsome French architect, who takes pity on her temporarily straitened circumstances. Skipper confesses to Carrie that he's becoming hooked on Miranda. At his studio, Morgan shows Charlotte his new works, and asks her to pose for him, which creates the question of whether her awe of him as an artist will outweigh her modesty. |

Charlotte is fearful she may never have the daughter for which she has been preparing her whole life, while Laney yearns for the freedom she sacrificed for her family Samantha throws an I don't have a baby shower party. |

Samantha finally gives relationships a try, and falls in love with a perfect man, but soon finds out that size does matter. Charlotte is dismayed to discover that all the fortune tellers in the city agree on one thing--her eternal status as a single woman. Carrie breaks up with Mr. Big. |
